Hi Tuomas, thanks for taking the time to file a bug report. It looks like your debconf database as locked, possibly by aptdaemon, while the install/upgrade was going. Please try the install again.
debconf: DbDriver "config": /var/cache/debconf/config.dat is locked by another process: Resource temporarily unavailable Previously I've been marking these as invalid, but this seems wrong. We should probably make update-manager handle this particular failure more gracefully, even if that is a very hard thing to do. Assigning to update-manager. ** Package changed: openssh (Ubuntu) => update-manager (Ubuntu) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/783193 Title: package openssh-server 1:5.8p1-1ubuntu3 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess new pre-installation script returned error exit status 1 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
