1- Try reinstalling checkbox-gtk:
sudo apt-get install --reinstall checkbox-gtk
2- If that doesn't solve the problem, purge checkbox-gtk (to ensure removal of
all the files) and then reinstall it:
sudo apt-get purge checkbox-gtk
sudo apt-get install checkbox-gtk
Please report back here on whether any of these solutions take care of
your problem; if not, please also post any new error messages you may
get when trying to run dpkg.
