I just went through the list at http://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/cpp
/Common-Predefined-Macros.html and there's nothing that can help me
distinguish the Ubuntu GCC vs. a vanilla GCC 4.5.2.

I also looked through the gcc-4.5.2 package sources, whether I would be
able to create a custom package that doesn't have the bug. But the patch
system in the GCC package is a little too complicated. I don't want to
spend hours on this.

Please, at least give me a helping hand in creating a corrected GCC
package for Natty. Even if you don't care about source compatibility...
This is just too annoying to my development work-flow.
