Thanks for your report. It appears that you somehow have a broken
system. My first suggestion would be to re-install your kernel. The
easiest way to do this is to open a terminal and run "apt-get
--reinstall install linux-image-2.6.35-28-generic". Once re-installed,
you need to reboot. If you still do not have sound, open a terminal once
again, and dump your dmesg buffer with "dmesg > dmesg.txt", and attach
the file to this bug, so I can look further as to what may be going on.
