Have you checked to see that the Creative card is set as the output card
to be used in sound preferences? Click on the sound icon in the top
right of your screen, and choose sound preferences from the menu that
appears. Once sound preferences is open, go to the output tab, and make
sure your Creative card is selected.

Beyond that, I am not sure what else I can suggest. Unfortunately
Creative are not very forthcoming with the specifications of their audio
hardware, so Linux driver developers are not always able to get such
cards working, as a lot of the work they need to do involves reverse-
engineering, which is not an easy task.

I notice that your system has another sound card, likely your onboard
sound. As a work-around, I suggest you use that instead.

** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu)
