Actually, I installed Maverick and the latest Ati Catalyst driver and it
still failed. I have also tried other Distros, still no luck with
Catalyst. For now, I will have to live with either no suspend/resume, or
sucky video. Both kind of stink on a laptop, so for now I will boot into
Windows 7 and keep trying periodically. Since the AMD Fusion Cpu's are
very popular these days, I am sure it won't take that long to settle
out, and then I can resume my Linux goodness on this laptop. I have a
netbook running Ubuntu that I also use, so all is not lost!

Also, I heard there was a major regression in the 2.6.38 kernel and the
open-source drivers specifically related to Fusion Apu's. It's possible
that at some point the open drivers will mature enough that I can give
Catalyst the boot - woot!
