I can confirm the same issue with keepassx. While other programs systray icons
behave as expected after
gsettings set com.canonical.Unity.Panel systray-whitelist "['all']"
When keepassx is launched via command line systray icon is shown.
When keepassx is launched via menu item - there is an attempt to show
something, I can see a small dot or smudge that appears in the systray and
disappears when i quit the app.
