As you have postetd this bug on "gDesklets (Ubuntu)" I assume you are
using Ubuntu...
If so: please use our PPA to get a newer and working version of gDesklets:
https://launchpad.net/gdesklets/+announcement/8413
You should be able to start gdesklets without any error with the version
from the PPA.
The log file can be found in your home dir in ".gdesklets/logs".

Title:
starting from the Menu shows only a box in the bottom line that it is
starting, but after some seconds it disappears without any
informations.
