The problem seems to lie in that the key sequence being pressed isn't
detected:
[71748.712000] atkbd.c: Unknown key pressed (translated set 2, code 0x8a on
isa0060/serio0).
[71748.712000] atkbd.c: Use 'setkeycodes e00a <keycode>' to make it known.
To work around this I believe you could use 'setkeycodes'.
