Can you be more specific on the workaround?
Are you logging in to the Classic session or Classic(no effects)?
Does this solve the hangs completely or does it make them less frequent?

Can you run this command and post the terminal output:
lspci -v -s `lspci | awk '/VGA/{print $1}'`
?
So that it will be noted what sort of graphics card you have(in particular if
the same one as Titan).
Also, post weather or not Titan's workaround helps stop hanging on your
computer.
