this is a duplicate of bug 23810. that bug is tracking an upstream
report that is also talking about the main window, that being said that
report is looking at the whole problem with evolution and those
resolutions 1024x* 800x* etc. marking this as duplicate. And yes this
bug has been around for a good while , patches are welcome in order to
help the upstream folks to fix it. thanks.
