If there were source-only-packages (i.e. no pre-built binaries), there
would be no licencing-problems. Because of this, Gentoo can provide
(source-)packages without violating any licences[1].

Also, Canonical might want to spend some money on this issue as Oracle
(former: SUN) did to prove whether there is a licence violation in
distributing binaries or not. See #7.
