After installing the latest (proposed ?) kernel - 2.6.38-10-generic-pae
as part of the update process, I find that my wireless is now working:-
sudo lshw -C network>Desktop/wifi.txt; lsb_release -a>>Desktop/wifi.txt;
uname -a>>Desktop/wifi.txt; rfkill list >>Desktop/wifi.txt;cat
/etc/modprobe.d/blacklist-acer.conf>>Desktop/wifi.txt
