Thanks for your bug report. COuld you please open a terminal, and run "alsamixer". Once open, use the right arrow key to locate the volume control labeled "External Amplifier". Use the M key to turn it off. Try playing sound. If you still get nothing, I suggest trying to change one or more of the other controls in alsamixer to see if you hear anything.
Failing that, you can try updating your audio drivers, as outlined here: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Audio/InstallingLinuxAudioDriverModules. Please keep us informed. ** Changed in: alsa-driver (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/803281 Title: I have no sound on my ubuntu setup To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/803281/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
