In my point of view, it's not a question of firmware or link with /lib/firmware >From now, on my maverick desktop, the wireless adater is working more or less, >but I still loose the connection very often, and when it happend, I have no >way to retrieve the wifi connection other than a complete reboot.
As maverick is still supported, and I may not have such problems with r8712u and vanilla kernel, I consider the bug is not solved. PS : As the connection is unstable, I'm now unable to make a distupgrade to Natty because I loose the connection before all packages where downloaded. So I can't test Natty kernel before I found a physical workaround (ethernet link, or to retrieve a LiveCD). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/665334 Title: [STAGING] [Realtek RTL8192SU] module r8192s_usb should be replaced by module r8712u To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/linux/+bug/665334/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
