In my point of view, it's not a question of firmware or link with /lib/firmware

As maverick is still supported, and I may not have such problems with
r8712u and vanilla kernel, I consider the bug is not solved.

PS : As the connection is unstable, I'm now unable to make a distupgrade
to Natty because I loose the connection before all packages where
downloaded. So I can't test Natty kernel before I found a physical
workaround (ethernet link, or to retrieve a LiveCD).
