@ Rick The external drive that I'm using is also a 2.5'' Transcend
StoreJet 25C(500G) formatted in NTFS, so I think it might not be a
coincidence that safely remove won't work on both 2.5'' NTFS drives.
Does anyone else experience the freeze using 2.5'' external hd formatted
in NTFS?
