  Binary package hint: network-manager

This morning I connected to a closed wifi, with password. Then I logged
off, went elsewhere, and tried to connect to an open wifi. It did not
work, and what's more, despite the correct wifi name being used in the
right-click dialog of the network manager applet, it reported that it
couldn't connect to the previous, non-open wifi network when it failed.

Rebooting always restores the ability to connect to an open wifi. But
only until I connect to a closed wifi, or, suprisingly, to the next day
(when I cannot connect anymore to the open wifi), and occasionally after
  sleep (cannot connect either).

This bug existed as well in 10.04.
