Mark: The first thing I'd suggest doing is testing the 3.0 kernel to see
if the problems are fixed there. If they are we can try to backport the
improvements to natty. You can get the kernel here:

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.0-oneiric/

If you can't install it on natty due to a dependency on module-init-
tools, installing this version should get you going.
