I can understand the problem (sbackup not giving informations about its precise
status at a certain time ) . But since it's in the background , how could it ?

Do you think that adding a feature that permit the user to ask for sbackup
status is a good solution ?
As for the 100% CPU usage, I think its normal. It was the backup process doing
its job :-) . You can use 'gnome-system-monitor' to see which processes takes
CPU
