David, thanks for reporting this back in 2009, and I'm sorry this report
went unnoticed for so long.
Given the nature of the failure (segfault in dpkg-deb), the bug's age,
jaunty's EOL status, and the lack of similar bug reports, I'm going to
close this as Invalid. If you experience something similar please open a
new bug.
