@eorl Hi eorl, I posted this in other bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/788366 Ricardo Sansores Aguilar (rsansores) wrote on 2011-07-25: If someone is still interested, I have installed just now the 3.0 generic headers of the kernel and all my hotkeys are working just fine. The backlight isn't working but I'm almost sure the problem is not related to the Asus WMI driver, it must be something different. I will try my USB 3.0 and SD card soon and report if this are still not working. cheers, RSA Ricardo Sansores Aguilar (rsansores) wrote on 2011-07-28: #38 I tested the USB 3.0 and the SD Card in the linux 3.0 kernel as promised. The USB 3.0 is working just fine (or it looks like), I haven't tested the transmitions speed but at least is working like an USB 2.0 and there's no more freezes. The SD card is not working yet, like someone mentioned even the dmesg doesn't detect any plug and play change. Any information about how to activate the backlight is accepted. Regards, RSA So the good news are that we will have a serious improvement out of the box with ubuntu 11.10, at least it looks like. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/787855 Title: SD Card Reader not working on ASUS G53SW To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/787855/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
