The cause of issues should show in /var/log/syslog on your system, and
will show a pop-up notification when possilbe (although that popup is
temporary and could be turned off). Please check under the nm-applet
menu to see if the Enable notifications checkbox is properly enabled.

For obvious reasons, n-m-vpnc will not specify that the password is
incorrect and will simply fail with a pretty generic "Invalid secrets"
error.

I'll go ahead and mark this bug Invalid now, but feel free to set it
back to New and provide additional information if you are still seeing a
problem. Thanks!

** Changed in: network-manager-vpnc (Ubuntu)
       Status: New => Invalid
