This is mostly fine, but there are a couple problems:
* There should be a .symbols file for the library
* The test suite should be run during build. This involves adding
--with-tests to the configure line and adding "cd tests && ./test-all.sh" to
the build-stamp target.
Also, but not a blocker, it would be nice to see a bug subscriber.
