This bug report is being closed due to your last comment regarding this
being fixed with an update. For future reference you can manage the
status of your own bugs by clicking on the current status in the yellow
line and then choosing a new status in the revealed drop down box. Thank
you again for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better.
For the screen dimming after unplugging the power, I suggest you wait to
report that again until after gnome-shell 3.1.5 is released in Ubuntu
which hopefully will happen next week or so. We're slightly behind on
keeping up with upstream with gnome-shell and bugs like that might
already have been fixed.
