apt-get also doesn't work. Its failing to download many of indexes
saying that main, universe, multiverse repositories are not found. But I
can download the packages to a directory from bowser and put all
dependencies in a folder and run 'dpkg -i *.deb' to install it. Also I
am able to install packages that are listed in synaptic package manager
directly via apt-get and synaptic. In apt-get the problem is in
repositories as I reported earlier
