Public bug reported:

I am using Ubuntu 11.04 from a live USB (my hard disk has crashed, so
it's a system without a hard disk). I have disabled Unity and using
classic mode. Many times after booting, my mouse pointer is frozen. Then
I launch something with keyboard (e.g. press Alt+F2) and the pointer
starts moving. Then I get this error message that initramfs had some
problem.
