The "D" is for "Show desktop". It looks like the shortcut is actually
supposed to be Windows key + D, which matches the keyboard shortcut on
Windows.

Honestly, I'm not as familiar with the Ctrl+Alt+M shortcut, either Win+D
or Ctrl+Alt+D has been supported for several Ubuntu releases now.
