It seems like it was the regional formats you set to what's commonly
used in Galicia, but you seem not to have changed the language.
Also, please note that in Oneiric the "Region and Language" widget has been
replaced with "Language Support", so I suggest that you
- upgrade your Oneiric to the latest package versions, and
- try to set the language from the "Language" tab in Language Support.
Please let us know if that fixes it for you.
