Update: NM-applet issue (couldn't turn wireless on/off, etc.) are resolved. Intermittent connectivity issues (speed dropping to negligible speeds and could only be fixed by ethernet cable) are resolved. All that is left is that Oneiric will not connect to Droid X hotspots for me. I've tried with two different phones, IPv6 set to ignore (and automatic previously), two different apps (the official, bundled, one and a third party one), and the issue persists.
