I'm afraid not -- I don't know the details of how this would work with
Ubuntu.
You could try the PPA at:
https://launchpad.net/~openafs/+archive/master
which has builds of the openafs 1.6.0 packages for various older versions
of Ubuntu including lucid. That may avoid the need to update your libc6.
