Tried again with a SMASUNG XL2370 SyncMaster, and the problem remains. EDID error.
Tried with actual kernel and mainstream kernels! Same problem! Used DVI connection, HDMI connection. same problem! Only VGA works! Both External monitors work fine under Windows XP, Vista and Seven. It is all clear, that is the Intel GM graphic card driver which does not support Digital output to external Devices (Monitors).
