I had this a similar/related issue. It was caused by the libcanberra
package missing.
apt-get install libcanberra-gtk3-module
Might prevent the error.... might not be a fix yet though, as ccsm does
not crash any more but changing the settings does not take effect
(left_panel_Icon_size and auto_hide off) does not work.
