Ah, sorry, I failed to mention that the same happens over and over again when I click on "I already have an account" - no credentials asked. The U1 client shows the user interface as I used to see it when logged on, but displays a red error message in the top, complaining about a failed authentication, then switches back to the welcome screen. [repeat ad infinitum]
