I finally decided to start a Windows session, it detected a problem on the NTFS partition and proposed a chkdsk, repair the system in a few second. when done, I immedaitly boot on Oneiric and mount easily the NTFS partition.
I know that the NTFS is not the Linux partition format, but I cannot imagine that there is no a such simple tool as chkdsk under Linux OS. I apologize that I didn't try the test you gave me, I didn't want to change the kernel for a former one. In any case, Thanks ! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/875739 Title: unable to mount NTFS partition after installing 11.10 oneiric To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/875739/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
