Why doesn't the language pack depend on the corresponding thunderbird locale? Since thunderbird is shipped by default, the localisation should also be available by default.
The distribution upgrade is also not handled by aptdaemon. I fear that if we check if all relevant translation packages are currently installed on every package manager task we could end up with a big slow down. A possible solution could be to test language pack during the general update checking or to have a very fast check if new packages should be installed. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/871178 Title: Upgrading Natty -> Oneiric doesn't install Thunderbird locale To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-translations/+bug/871178/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
