Thanks for your reply David.  I apologize for it actually, I was just more
than a bit pissed with the Ubuntu upgrade and had spent too long futzing
with it.  After I wrote, I calmed down a bit and have it semi-working now
but I am getting kernel panics too frequently and haven't spent too much
time figuring that one out yet.  Actually, I'm not even sure where to start
but as I said, after the frustrations, I am going to live with a little
inconvenience and the Magic Keys use once in awhile ;)
