I'm getting this exact problem on two Vostro V13 laptops being tested
for hardware certification.
I don't get any output on dmesg, but after resuming from suspend,
touchpads are unresponsive.
A workaround is to rmmod psmouse and then modprobe psmouse. That brings
them back to life.
This was tested under 11.10 with kernel 3.0.0-12.20.
I'll just set the bug back to incomplete, as I don't want to hijack it
so violently, but please let me know if you want me to add apport
information and/or test a mainline kernel.
