I have the feeling it's the same cause that the other bug. I have a
compiz patches to fix 874004 and I had the same symptom as you did
(ghost windows, it's here but not visible) and it's indeed fixed by the
new compiz which will be in -proposed in a short time (tomorrow I hope).
Can you follow it up on the dupped bug if it's not the case?
