Tomandson: you probably can't recover your messages unless you first
made a backup.
However, let's try to get more information to make sure. Could you
please tell us the following about your account:
1) What protocol is used? Are you using POP, IMAP, or IMAP+?
2) If POP; is your account set to "Leave messages on server", and if so,
is it set to 0 or 7 days or another value?
3) If IMAP or IMAP+; could you verify under the Folders menu, then
Subscriptions... to see if you then see all the folders in your account,
and if they aren't checked; make sure to add subscriptions for them to
show in the folder list in Evolution.
