See my bug report #787809 for complete information. My ASUS x56TR freezes when power cord is unplugged or plugged. I've updated my BIOS to the newest version -> no success. Adding "acpi=off noacpi" to boot command, seems to help however, but i've not tested it long enough to be certain.
