Have you tried checking the filesystem of the external hard disk for errors? If
yes, and there were no errors, could you please tell us:
-what applications are you trying to use to open pictures, videos and music,
-whether these applications open files on your computer's internal hard drive
correctly, and
-the exact text of any error messages that appear?
This will help us finding the problem. Thanks!
