Someone told me it's a problem with my motherboard. It doesn't identify the monitor. It calls the monitor "Default" and gives 1024*768 rez. The perfect identification is Acer X193W LCD. Sometimes it gets identified as Acer Technologies and then it gives the correct rez 1440*900. I also have a problem with sound; when the mute is pressed, it stays off until reboot. Maybe these 2 problems are related or maybe not.
At first I didn't get the grub display. But I fixed that problem by making it display grub in text mode instead of graphic mode. My computer works fine at the moment as long as I don't press 'mute' and I can put up with the lower rez. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/883773 Title: xubuntu 11.10 "input not supported" on Acer X193W LCD monitor To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/883773/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
