s3switch was revived in Fedora, based on the patches from the now-dead
Debian package plus many more. I will take a look at giving it an
upstream home at freedesktop.org and apply all these patches for
everybody.

Secondly I would like to make the xorg driver more compatible with it,
using stuff from Hans-Juergen's patches. But we need to clean up these
patches, for now it is one big patch changing all kind of things. A
patch should be a minimal change fixing one issue at a time, otherwise
it can not be reviewed and tested properly, and the development history
would be unreadable.
