apport seems not to be working because of the kernel.. What information
can I collect manually?

$ uname -a
Linux xubuntu 3.1.0-999-generic #201111070407 SMP Mon Nov 7 09:08:05 UTC 2011
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

** Description changed:

  On a MacBookPro8,2, the track pad does not respond properly. Single
  clicks are nearly always interpreted as double clicks and it is not
  possible to 'click-and-drag'. Perhaps the second problem is tied to the
  first.

  The expected behavior is that if the trackpad is tapped once, then the
  machine interprets it as a single click not a double click.
