mmm... I recall this bug report. It was filed by me some time ago because of problems with a tecra laptop (hence, I assume, you contact me now). Bad news is, I recently changed the laptop because the LCD ceased to work, and the uni where I work provided a replacement (also a toshiba, but diferent make and model) so I cannot test it, as I don't have the hardware anymore; sorry about that. However, if it helps you boost your optimistic assumption, this might help: long after I reported the bug and found a workaround for it, I happened to reinstall Ubuntu on that laptop, not with OO, but Natty Narwhal I think. I don't recall having experienced any lockups after resuming (not that I tried it often, though), so I'd say NN worked out of the box. Can't be completely assertive about that, sorry.
