Additional comments:- NOTE: What I am trying to discover/establish here is if these corrupted settings that compiz config settings manager caused. a) Was this ONLY done to a single account/ user profile only? in which case just deleting a single user account & adding new accounts will fix this or b) has this affected the entire system to the point that I will have no option but to wipe & rebuild the rig from scratch? i.e. all user profiles/accounts are afffected here.
