Hi Jens, it seems that the PowerPCDownloads page for Ubuntu 11.10 got fixed once and for all. You can now download a minimal CD, install a very basic version of Ubuntu and download and install the other packages you want later.
As for the original bug, could you please download a "daily" build of Ubuntu 12.04 from <http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/daily-live/current/>, try to install it in a virtual machine like VirtualBox and see if the problem occurs again? If yes, please state so and specify the date that appears next to the ISO file in the "Last modified" column of the download page. Thanks! ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/886518 Title: Installation failed because it could not find the Mirrorserver for powerpc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ubiquity/+bug/886518/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
