I did some work about a month ago to fix the "flicker" artefact that 
people saw when resuming from expo / on transformed screens because we 
were using one framebuffer object per output rather than per-screen. That 
can be found in lp:~smspillaz/unity/unity.big_fbo . However, at the moment 
I can't merge it because nobody has tested it on fglrx (I will be looking 
to aquire an ATI machine at the end of the year probably if nobody does), 
and I did some ork in there which intiailly didn't work due to a bug in the 
nvidia 
driver (which I have later worked around), and I want to make sure that I 
don't push something that's going to break the display on fglrx.

That work is somewhat related to this, so feel free to check out out
too.
