BTW - I get the same behavior when I've set up my browser to open some downloaded files using gedit: I'm using Firefox 11 UX downloaded from Mozilla as a binary tarball, and I can reproduce the same problem that I've explained before using the following process: 1. Browse to some file that Firefox 11 UX does not know how to open. 2. In the "Save" dialog choose "Open" and click "Browse" 3. In the browse dialog enter /usr/bin/gedit 4. OK everything.
The result: A new gedit window opens with two tabs: the requested file is the first tab and the second tab is an "untitled document" with a "loading animation" for the icon. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/890203 Title: when using gedit to edit a file from dolphin, gedit always open an additional "untitled document" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dolphin/+bug/890203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
