Additional information - in both scenarios if you leave the gedit window open and get either Dolphin or Firefox to open a new file, you get two additional tabs on the existing gedit window - the file you requested and another "untitled document".
I've tried to see if I can reproduce this behavior by invoking gedit with the shell, but no matter what combination I tried I couldn't figure out what parameters can be used to trigger this behavior. When I reproduce this behavior using Dolphin or Firefox, the parameter list gedit's proc entry look normal. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/890203 Title: when using gedit to edit a file from dolphin, gedit always open an additional "untitled document" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/dolphin/+bug/890203/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
